Don't wait until January to do your tax return

Tax returns can be submitted from 6th April, I did my own tax return on 7th April and it feels good. There are many reasons to get your tax return done early:

1. You don't need to pay the tax due any earlier - this will still be 31st January.

2. You will know now what you need to pay on 31st January so you can budget, rather than leaving it to the last minute and having to raid the piggybank.

3. You won't spend Christmas with that niggling feeling that you should have done it.
