Now is the time to do your tax return

Tax returns can be submitted from 6th April, and there are many reasons to do them before the 31st January deadline:

1. You don't need to pay the tax due any earlier - this will still be 31st January.

2. You will know now what you need to pay on 31st January so you can budget, rather than leaving it to the last minute and having to raid the piggybank.

3. You won't spend Christmas with that niggling feeling that you should have done it.
